Rectal digital-028 The file Flattermann 14 Parasocial out of bounds and band

In this edition of Rektal Digital – The Flattermann file It becomes unusual: Sascha and Sarah talk about parasocial dynamics, deleted comments, sudden sympathies from unexpected directions and why criticism is often only accepted when it meets the ‘right’ people.

This time, the focus will be on several themes: Jutta’s performance in the breakfast club, Impulsiva’s catalogue of questions to Frank, the question of journalistic ambition versus personal campaign and, of course, the ‘Flattermann of the Week’. In addition, Sascha and Sarah talk about their spontaneous TikTok livestream, in which Frank suddenly appeared himself – including roses, conversation, critical inquiries and the irritated reactions afterwards.

This is not only about beef, but also about responsibility: What can be discussed publicly? Where does doxing begin? Why are private screenshots not free tickets for public screenings? And why doesn't criticism automatically mean that you can't still talk to each other objectively?

A consequence about loss of control, double standards, community expectations, parasocial protective reflexes and the question why some people only celebrate criticism when they do not meet their own darling.

Thematic breakdown:

1. Welcome and entry into the file Flattermann

Sascha and Sarah open the episode, making the call-to-action and announcing that this time the ‘housemaking’ is divided into two parts.

2. Review of the last episode and sudden approval from an unexpected corner

It's about people who have previously criticized Rektal Digital suddenly showing approval as soon as it's not Frank who is at the center of the criticism, but other content creators.

3. Parasocial Dynamics and Selective Criticism

Sascha and Sarah talk about why criticism is evaluated differently depending on the target person: If your favourite creator is criticised, it is ‘hate’ – if it hits others, it is suddenly ‘brave’ and ‘right’.

4. Deleted comments by Bernie and Boris

Benevolent comments appeared under the last episode, which disappeared a short time later. This raises the question of whether there was real self-reflection in the game or just a quick comment from false expectation.

5. Jutta at the breakfast club: except margin and band

In the breakfast club from 06.05.2026, a caller named Sarah is addressed, who asks Frank critical questions. Jutta intervenes loudly, falls into the word and partially takes over the conversation.

6. Jutta's role as a shield for Frank

Sascha and Sarah analyse how Jutta defends Frank over and over again, almost standing in front of him like a protective body, even though Frank is quite capable of defending himself.

7. The question: Does Jutta actually do the format well?

It is discussed whether Jutta's presence strengthens the breakfast club or rather makes it more difficult, because she partially attracts the format due to her nature.

8. Impulsiva as a ‘new journalist’ and the press card fantasy

The topic changes to Impulsiva, her journalistic self-image and the idea of a press card. It is critically assessed what journalistic work actually means: Research, evidence, sources and clean separation of opinion and report.

9. The Question Catalog for Frank

Impulsiva has created a four-page questionnaire for Frank. Sascha and Sarah take up three central questions from this: Contradictions in Frank's presentation, the handling of donations and the question of a clear statement without distraction.

10. Criticism or control over the narrative?

The catalogue of questions is seen not only as an educational tool, but also as an attempt to maintain control over the public narrative. Impulsiva's long-standing fixation on Frank is viewed critically.

11. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

It's about changing alliances: Lawan, Gravalenta, Giulia and others are placed in the context of conflicts with Frank. As soon as someone has stress with Frank, he or she suddenly becomes interesting or welcome.

12. Upside-down questionnaire to Impulsiva

Sascha and Sarah turn the tables mentally and ask what questions you should actually ask Impulsiva: When did criticism become hatred? Why this year-long fixation? And why is one's own criticism hardly reflected?

13. Frank and reading articles

Frank reads newspaper articles in his formats, for example on current topics such as Fabian or the stranded whale. Positively, it is mentioned that sources are mentioned at least verbally, but critically, that they also belong in show notes or video descriptions.

14. Clickbait, True Crime Bubble and Theme Exploitation

It is arranged why topics such as the case of Fabian or the whale are so strongly taken up: They generate attention, reach and clicks, even for people who have previously made fun of other content creators.

15. The Flatterman of the Week

The humorous block is dedicated to promises, flat jokes, ‘flat wanks’, anacondas and old-white man humour. The typical dynamic between Frank and Christine is taken up.

16. The second part of home-making: The Spontaneous TikTok Livestream

Sascha and Sarah talk about their spontaneous TikTok livestream, which was supposed to be just a casual nostalgia live.

17. Frank appears in the livestream

Unexpectedly, Frank watches, sends roses and is finally brought into the live stream. This results in a longer conversation that is surprisingly objective and calm.

18. Conversation with Frank: Donations, debts and critical issues

The livestream addresses issues such as GoFundMe donations, transparency, debt to Lexi and Frank's view of various allegations.

19. Community Reactions to the Conversation

Some viewers like the fact that a factual exchange was possible. Others react disappointed because they expected Sascha and Sarah to appear harder, louder or more confrontational.

20. Why private screenshots are not publicly exploited

Sascha and Sarah clearly explain why they don't use private screenshots, emails or non-verifiable content publicly: Data protection, personal rights and legal risks.

21. Delimitation of foreign revenge fantasies

It is made clear that Rektal Digital is not a rental megaphone for others. Anyone who wants to make private information public should take responsibility for it himself.

22. Conclusion: Criticism yes, double standards no

The end result is the attitude: Criticism remains permissible and necessary, but not on call, not as a doxing tool and not as a vicarious agent of foreign indignation. The basis is the transcript of the uploaded sequence.

Sascha Markmann is a creative mind with a moving biography – and a person who has rediscovered life after a stroke. After working as a paramedic and elderly caregiver, Sascha found his way into creative expression. As a blogger, podcaster, musician and visual storyteller, he brings together things that just don't fit at first glance: He combines his keen enthusiasm for technology – from self-hosted servers to electronic music production – with emotional depth and an oblique sense of humor. His contributions are somewhere between borderline, acid basslines and assistance – honestly, directly and with a wink. Guiding principle: “Audio-visual dullness with no usefulness – but perhaps that's why it's so valuable.”
