What is a podcast?

Think of a podcast as a radio show, except that you don't have to rely on broadcast times. You can listen to the show whenever you feel like it. You can interrupt the show and then continue listening when you have time again.

Podcasts usually revolve around a specific topic and are sometimes long (sometimes several hours) and sometimes short. The podcast makers determine this independently. The production of a podcast is often a hobby – as is the case with us.

How can I receive a podcast?

Using apps (so-called podcatchers) on a smartphone is probably the most common way to listen to a podcast. In the Podcatcher you manage your podcast subscriptions, i.e. you can of course subscribe to several podcasts. As soon as new episodes are released, they automatically end up in your podcatcher, i.e. on your smartphone and you can then listen to them.

Of course, you can also listen to the episodes on the computer. With us, but also with most other providers, you will find a separate player for each episode.

What apps do I need?

In the case of Apple iPhones By default, the app PodcastS on board. In addition, there are of course many other apps. I myself use the app Overcast.

Of course, there are also Podcatcher apps for Android devices. This is where the app likes to be Antennapod  or Podcast & Radio Addict called.
