The LautFunk publication cartel
Reflection instead of noise.
LautFunk is an independent German-language media platform for podcasts, blogs and videos about psychology, society, technology, music and digital culture.
Welcome to us. We are not a classic magazine and not a rigid editorial team with a single voice. Rather, we see ourselves as a common infrastructure for different voices. According to Funk, a free, loose association of people from different creative worlds – be it music, video, text, technology or psychology. What unites us is not a hierarchy, but a common attitude: We are not satisfied with the surface. We want to dig deeper.
A collective of diversity
Whether musicians, tech enthusiasts, analytical thinkers or storytellers - in the LautFunk publication cartel we bundle our perspectives. Each of us brings our own focus, but in the intersection our core is created: A space between psychology, technology and critical observation of society.
We are writers, podcasters, video producers and nerds who share their passion. Our media is as diverse as our minds:
- Word & writing: Our blog is a retreat, a diary and a tool for analysis at the same time. Here we dissect digital communication patterns, talk openly and profoundly about mental illness and illuminate the grey tones of human coexistence.
- Sound & Voice: In our podcast formats, we give space to our thoughts. From the deep nerd love in Sample podcast The taboo conversations in Limit value, Media critical analysis in Rectal digital up to the personal monologue – our voices remain personal and undistorted.
- Image & Scene: On YouTube, our thoughts get image, facial expressions and contradiction. Here we deepen topics visually, discuss controversially and make technology, society and culture tangible.
No one-size-fits-all opinion
The radio doesn't speak with one voice. People can come to different conclusions, contradict each other and change their perspective. What matters is not that we always agree, but that we argue, listen and are willing to question our own position. The publication cartel thrives on precisely this discursive friction.
Our philosophy
The digital world is loud, fast and often frighteningly superficial. In an economy that fights for every click, we don't treat your attention as a commodity. We don't want to win them with the next quick click, but with content that leaves something behind.
We discuss niche topics such as synthesizers, home servers and digital infrastructures as passionately as we do accessibility, people pleasing or the mechanisms of toxic Internet bubbles. We openly fail at technology, celebrate the unexpected ‘aha moments’ of music production and venture into social taboos.
We do not claim to have leased the truth. We're trying to take a closer look.
Become part of the frequency
Whether you're here for a recipe for Tex-Mex wrap lasagne, interested in the architecture of analog drum machines, or want to understand how attention economy controls our brains: You're invited.
Get inspired, change perspective and immerse yourself. Here the familiar is re-examined, the everyday is questioned and the special is appreciated.
We are LautFunk. I'm glad you're listening, reading and watching.
