The Limit of the Unspeakable

‘An inexpressible thing, such as fear, cannot be defeated with words.’
Georg Skrypzak

In times like these, I am always surprised that some people simply dare to express their political views openly, especially in view of the past in which we live in Germany.

Just a year or two ago, no one would have dared to hasten their political disposition, if it was of a far-right nature, to communicate so openly in places that one is so proud that one has the courage to do so.

I meet this phenomenon again and again even with people who became in my immediate vicinity, even with the neighbors who proudly post the political postings of an AFD and also express applause and approval that this is now right, that this is true, that this is a right attitude or you would have to change this and that.

We also sometimes encounter strange things, where I think that you are rather funny on a flirting page or more precisely a flirting group in Facebook there was once a posting of one we call her Mandy and then she comes from Zwickau who wanted to show with PEGIDA and AFD posters in the background with a beer in her hand and sexy photo to draw attention to herself.

Of course, this immediately aroused my curiosity not because I found it attractive, it was on the contrary, but because the entire context was a bit courier, because the text screamed more to be sweet and cute and in the background was glorification of violence and other right-wing ideas represented so I took a closer look at their profile and it was actually only a collection of shared PEGIDA and AFD posts, which of course one also agreed to himself, i.e. his self-posted posts Liked

How has she often noticed that followers of these special groups like to like their postings themselves for me, that always a rather strange impression because I don't like my own postings because I don't have to, which would be good from the beginning otherwise, I don't post or share it so why should I like the shared with myself.

What fascinated me so much about this thing was the connection between right-wing radical thought and sexy poses and the obligatory open bottle of beer in my hand, which for me is the epitome of absolute not being sexy.

From drunken people can never be sexy, they are more repulsive and pitiable than somehow attractive or sexy.

From this, it really surprises me, with which normality right thoughts are spread and it is absolutely taken for granted that this is also seen by others, this is probably the filter bubble of your own filter bubble, which you have certainly created yourself, share by liking and self-posting has created.

Because so only postings of other people who have the same opinion or the same interests as oneself are shown and so one is very quickly of the opinion that all of this opinion, one moves otherwise also in such groups and has little contact with outsiders who are of a different opinion and even then this is all just fake news.

The funny thing is you are actually only familiar with what you believe in yourself, so quasi the affirmation, of your own opinion, so when I follow someone and he has, to 90 % I'm more inclined to trust and believe the same political attitude as I do, since it reinforces and represents my attitude like someone who doesn't.

But if I only move within such a bubble, I cannot let new information bring new insights of stimulating new elements to me and so perhaps reconsider or even adapt my attitude or thinking.

Even I am not immune to moving in a so-called bubble, even if I keep trying to step out of this bubble, but I also prefer to surround myself with people who are not radically politically open or also open to other things that are of the opinion that you have to help, if you can help, whatever the meaning likes human friends in general or even as you say so nicely left-suffering do-gooders.

I have always wondered why this radicalization can take place secretly, but today I can observe how people radicalize themselves and are still proud of the fact that they share this attitude with the radical mindset, this will be something I will never understand.

My parents have educated me that I am open to new things, curious about new things and always try something new and let me be surprised again and again, I wish that the other people also go so that you can perhaps convey something like this to them, it is self-evident for me that if I had children this idea this attitude to pass on and convey this philosophy of life.

To come back to Mandy again, she could also be called Chantal or another name that is kind of plaintiff-ridden just the fact that she thinks such a thought is good, she would totally disqualify for me as a partner even I would have problems if that were an acquaintance of mine.

I can and can now also be called prejudiced with people who think such extreme thoughts are good for nothing to do I can not have a conversation because I constantly ask myself the question or imagine how they are happy or cheer what is more or less unspeakable.

We are still looking at the pictures when an emigrants' home was on fire and the people around it, it was ordinary citizens who look like you and me. Cheers stood by and the mob cheered and incited those who threw Molotov cocktails to go on and on.

Before such recent moments or even cheering actions I am frankly afraid because what one did not dare to say years ago is even just publicity, today has become a matter of course and the search of the culprits for everything is always so simple, it is the ones who are not like us, it is the outsiders who are normally just different or come from somewhere else or maybe have such a different faith but they are to blame
