Ghosting is one of those modern words that at first sound almost harmless – like a fleeting phenomenon of digital pop culture. But in psychological reality, this term describes an astonishingly deep, often traumatic pain. This refers to the abrupt, one-sided discontinuation of contact without any explanation. A person suddenly stops answering, disappears from chats, ignores calls, leaves all open questions in the room. The other is left with the feeling of simply being cut out of a connection, literally deleted.
